A count down?

I didn't quite realize that it'd been a month since my last post. Wow, has time flown by! I've prayed for time to go quickly these past six months and it really has! Thank you Lord! ...and thanks to all of you who have also lifted our family up in prayer during this trying time. For those of you who didn't know, I've (Megan) been living in the states with my parents while Tom has been deployed. Well, as of July 15th, Tom is back in England! Now, it's these last few weeks and days that we must hurdle over before we see each other face to face.

Many of you have asked me exactly when he'll be here with me.  That's a complicated answer.  His vacation has been approved and his leave begins August 5th, BUT we have not purchased tickets for him to fly home.  Instead, we are relying on a "HOP" or Space-A (Space Available) military flight to get him into the states.  Ideally, it would be nice if he could just fly straight in to the guard base in Sioux City or Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, but it's a slim chance.  Our best bet is for him to get a flight from Mildenhall (where he's stationed now) to McConnell AFB in Kansas.  From there I will either pick him up or he'll take a bus home....not sure on this yet though.

So again, I don't know exactly when he'll be HERE with me, but Tom and I continue to pray for God's will, smooth travel, and for it all to be in HIS perfect timing.  Could this mean he won't arrive until the middle of August?  It's possible, but I hope not.  This woman would not be a happy camper.

I will try to keep you all posted on facebook (of course) as to what is happening, but at least this gives you an idea of why we don't know exactly when he'll be here.  Please join us in prayer that God will grant Tom traveling mercies and safety.  Thanks everyone!

In other news:  Adrian has started walking!!!!  I couldn't believe it, but at 9 months old he is walking.  Big brother, William, is doing great.  Keeping Mommy on her toes as usual.  We're all ready for Daddy to join us I think:)
