My Top 10 Favorite Things About Being A Mom

10. I have an excuse to color anytime. I don’t know about you, but I still enjoy a good coloring book and a box of crayons!

9. I’ve read some children’s books so many times that I almost have them memorized!

8. When no one else will do, but you. I like it when William, on occasion, will only take things from his mommy or when Adrian needs to be held, but it’s obvious that he wants mommy. It definitely makes me feel special. It lets me know that they trust me.

7. Watching them grow – each milestone is a blessing to be part of.

6. Exploration. They help me to tune in to my inner child. They remind me to look at the world in new and different way.

5. Teaching. Especially with William, it has been so fantastic to see him starting to say/do things that I have taught him. I am so proud of both of my boys. I pray that they will grow to be upright, Godly men and I know that starts with what we teach them at home.

4. My mom. Being a mother has made the relationship with my mom that much more great. We’ve always been able to talk anyway, but I understand her much more now than I ever did and admire her greatly for her constant sacrifices now and back then to get us to where we are today! She’s a wonderful role model and I thank God for her!

3. Being a stay at home mom. I will admit that at first this was a hard transition with a lot of tears and strain, but ultimately one of the best decisions my husband and I have ever made and something I’m very happy about now. On August 15th (the same day we will have Adrian baptized) I will have been a SAHM for 2 years! PTL! ☺

2. Nursing. Although I was only able to breastfeed William for 3 weeks, I would not change the experience for anything. It helped me realize what I would be in for so the second time around I was much more successful in nursing Adrian and still continue to. It’s very rewarding knowing that you’ve been a key factor in the growth and well being of your children.

1. Sweet kisses and hugs from my two kids – William and Adrian. I love you both more than you know!

Now it’s your turn! What is/are your favorite thing(s) about being a mom/dad/aunt/uncle/etc?
