So I know it's been about 2 months since our last post. Things have been pretty hectic around here. Just thought I'd share some photos and let you all know what's going on with us.
William is now 20 months old...4 months until he's 2 years old. That's kind of hard to believe for me!!! At his last check-up we were concerned about the rate of his height. The doctor told us that we needed to implement more fats and proteins in his diet since he hasn't been getting taller. So we'll keep an eye on it and go from there. We continue to work on William's gentleness toward everything, but especially Adrian. He's doing so much better! He absolutely loves his little brother "Day-day." He slaps his hands together and holds his arms out whenever he wants to hold him. It's so cute!
Adrian is 10 weeks old and growing like a weed. At his 2 month check up, which was already 2 weeks ago, he was already just over 13 pounds and 23 inches tall. We're still working on the sleeping through the night thing, but it's a work in progress.
In a few weeks, Tom will be deploying to the desert for 6 months. We're hoping he'll be back at the latest by August 1st so that he can come back to Iowa for a much needed, month-long vacation. William, Adrian, and I are still planning on going back to Iowa to live with my parents, but we're still not sure quite when that will be. The earliest we're thinking will be the end of January and the latest will be mid-March. Obviously, we're going to try to get home as soon as possible. We all plan to travel back to England together as a family around late-August/early-September, which will work great since my 'little' brother Andy will be getting married this summer:)
We're still waiting on a few things like Adrian's passport, SS card, birth cert, and the money to actually buy tickets. I know that God will provide though. I'm trying to rest in the fact that he knows exactly when all of this will take place and He has the BEST plan.
If you could, please pray for Tom as he gets ready to deploy and for our family. It's not going to be easy, but we're trying to look forward to coming back together rather than thinking of the time apart.
We hope you are all having a 'Happy Christmas,' as the Brits say! May God bless each of your families!!!
Love,
The Struthers... Tom, Megan, Will, and Adrian
