I'm just sitting here praying that Tom is getting to work safely. If you knew what the roads were like here you'd say the same thing. Even though a few inches of snow would not scare us in the least as Iowans, here it is quite more serious. The roads here are MUCH more narrow, bumpy, and winding. Tom explained to me that the roads curve more because the buildings have been around for so much longer than the roads that they built the roads around the buildings. It makes sense when you go through the villages and towns.
So many of the locals have said that this is not the typical winter they usually have here. There has been a lot more snow than usual. In Iowa we're used to inches of snow falling and sticking to the ground, but here they have a little snow and it, in most cases, melts on impact.
