So much has changed...

So we are now down to exactly 2 weeks left here in Iowa and shortly thereafter we'll be leaving the states.   I still can't quite believe it.  It's kind of all surreal to me, I guess.  Living in England.  It's something you can't quite wrap your head around when you haven't even been outside of the United States.  Of course, we're still waiting on our passports and visas, but we know they'll come through and everything will be fine.

Tom and I have been talking about how "ready" we are to move though.  We are so excited about this new adventure in our lives.  We've always wanted to travel and go somewhere new and being in the military will definitely make that possible.  We've also talked about all the little trips we want to take once we get there.  His big thing is going to Rome and seeing the Colosseum and doing some wine tasting at a vineyard.  I don't know if I could pinpoint where I want to go quite yet.  I know I want to walk around London, but there's so much in Europe.  How can you pick just a few things?

It's great finally having Tom home although we haven't really gotten to any of our stuff to actually pack and go through what we need and don't need.  Amazingly there is not a lot to actually do since much of what we had was already packed away once we decided to move in with my parents 4 months ago.  I guess we'll make it work and it'll happen at some point though, right?  

William is doing great.  Can't believe he is 8 months already.  He pulls himself up next to everything and is starting to actually crawl on his knees now.  It's still a work in progress, but he's doing so well.  Tom and I sit back each night and marvel at all the new things he's come to do since Tom was here last about 4 months ago.  So much has changed in such a short time.
